Irish Holiday Cottages
Inish Beg as Featured in the Press
|
The Boat House captures the imagination of one of
Ireland's best known travel writers, John McKenna,
in the Spring 2005 edition of Room magazine:

"On approach, it seemed the Boat House was embedded in woodland.
Now, the uninhibited proximity to the sea is exhilirating:
you feel that the house has cast adrift from the land."
"...open the door, walk through into the living room, and the secret of the Boat House is uncovered...
The room appears almost to float on the water."
While photographer John Minihane perfectly captures
the essense of luxury and privacy of our lovely Boat House.

with distinctive accommodation".
The Sunday Times Home Ireland

After a trip to Inish Beg, Tommy Barker,
Property Editor, Irish Examiner, writes:
"There should be a sign at the bridge to Inish Beg, declaring
'Abandon stress all ye who enter here'".

“The Boat House at Inish Beg, designed by architect Tony Cohu, has become a famous piece of modernist Irish architecture, sitting proud out on the water on the Inish Beg estate, Frank Lloyd Wright meets Glen Murcott on an island off the coast of – where else?- West Cork. Aside from the Boat House, there are lots of other superbly comfortable cottages to rent in Paul and Georgie Keane’s complex of rental properties, and there is also the terrifically delicious Inish Beg honey to be enjoyed”
