Since moving to Inish Beg in 1997, Paul and Georgie Keane have dedicated themselves to restoring and developing the Estate. They've been keen to create an environment and atmosphere for their guests that is unique, relaxing and peaceful for family, friends and couples. They hope all who visit experience the joy that they have in being able to live in such a special place.
Dick was keeping an eye on the woodland here before Paul & Georgie moved in. Dick's a father figure to all here, kind and patient to people as well as trees. Looking after the woodlands is no mean feat. Theres been two severe storms over the last 10 years destroying over 300 trees in total. We've a lot of variety of trees that need constant attention and Dick does a wonderful job of it.
Gavin can often be found up a ladder, with a utility belt Batman would be proud of. When he's not busy fixing things he loves a bit of carpentry so recently he's been crafting beautiful fairy homes and doors. (When available these can be purchased at the office, making a lovely present for any child).
Josephine is our indispensable manager who keeps the ship running. You'll either have the pleasure of listening to her dulcet tones down the telephone or she'll be responding to your emails with thoughtfulness and thoroughness. Josephine does everything from helping wedding couples plan their big day to welcoming day visitors to the estate. She does too much to list here.
Kevin, our local strong man and secret weapon, is a man who finds no job too small or too large. Every week we find out some new hidden skill he has from plumbing to bus driving. You'll find it hard not to smile back at him when he grins with his broad Cork smile.
Teddy is one of our longest servicing team members and has been here since day one. He know's everything there is to know about the place. Amongst other things, together with Kevin, he fights a constant battle to fill potholes and strim/cut the fastest growing grass in the world. He makes sure the estate is looking it's best for weddings and guests all year round.
Tony is our head gardener. We're very lucky to have such a thoughtful, diligent, knowledgeable and professional person who has been busy designing and developing the grounds and walled garden with great empathy over the years. As you walk around the estate his work speaks for it self. If you like gardening he is always happy to answer your questions.
